What is a GeoCaster?
GeoCasters are persons who geocode pictures, videos and other multimedia files and publish them on the internet.
What is a GeoCast?
GeoCasts are multimedia files (images, videos, etc.) published with their geo-coordinates on the internet on portals like GeoCaster.com.
How can I upload a GeoCast?
Please search for the exact address of you GeoCast first. Thereafter you have to zoom to streetlevel (at least 0.6 Miles). Now double click the map on the spot where you would like to publish your GeoCast. Now click on "add Cast" in the right window near the top of our website, to fill out the details about your GeoCast.
How much does it cost to publish a GeoCast?
Nothing, publishing a GeoCast on GeoCaster.com is absolutely free.
What filetypes are supported?
- Video files:
- please use the flv-format (FlashVideo) as those files will be displayed immediately.
- Avi, Quicktime, Real and 3g Videos are also supported but due to convertion issues it may take a long time untill they get published.
- Image files:
- jpg (recommended).
- gif
- png
